christmas was VERY exciting at our house this year. santa brought a ride-on train for asher and a baby for scarlet.

i LOVE christmas eve. the nativity is always a little wild, but the baby jesus was ADODRABLE chewing on this book, and those angels KNOW how beautiful they are!


cemetery candles are my favorite part of christmas eve.

temple square

the obligatory trip to see the lights at temple square. it was FREEZING! we pretty much just ran through, snapped a couple of shots, and ran back to the car. beautiful but painfully cold.

look who's crawling!

this chubby little girl had a really hard time getting herself off the ground to crawl. but she is making up for lost time by getting into EVERYTHING lately.
oh i love that face!

midyear las vegas

my previous resident shannon and i had a poster presentation at our midyear clinical pharmacy meeting this year. since will and i were in classes all week, my parents were kind enough to come along to watch the little munchkins during the day. we did some fun things in the afternoons and evenings and the animals at treasure island were a big hit. my favorite part of the trip was visiting my friend al and her cute family. (of course i have no pictures of that)

christmas card

my amazing brother-in-law jake made this christmas card for us. he did something similar last year and now he's kind of stuck for life because i LOVE these little cartoons. it makes me so happy to see my family the way they are in my mind. (although a little less cartoon-y:)
and the picture turned out perfect too. we got to bonnie's literally 5 minutes before the sun went down and she worked her magic like usual.
