just practicing
i mentioned to tiffany the other day that i waited too long to look for a monkey costume for asher, and couldn't find any. being the master seamstress she is, she just happened to have one on hand she'd made for shaylynn when she was one. the next day soph was over playing with asher and she wanted me to put it on him. once we got it on, i put him in front of the mirror. he looked SO proud and instantly started making the monkey sound. soph immediately asked if we could "hang him from something". here he is... proud to be a monkey:

That costume is adorable, especially with him in it. My kids were never that happy to wear a costume at that age. He is so cute!

What a cute monkey! Practice for what? If that monkey suit is anything like Jack's Buzz Lighyear suit, it's not a costume, just an outfit like any other that gets worn whenever the little guy feels like it. I say you may as well get good use from it. Halloween costume Shmalloween shmostume.
