mac and cheese and peas
it is true... kids love this stuff. i feel so guilty feeding it to my eleven-month old, but somehow serving it with a side of peas makes me feel better about the whole thing. and just look at how happy it makes him:

C'mon sis, it's time to embrace the slacker mom in us all. The older Asher gets, the more my parenting style will look less appalling to you :)
Hi Mindi - I use to make homemade mac with whole wheat pasta occasionally and a couple of years ago Brynn came home from our friends house and asked for mac-n-cheese. I made her my homemade version, and she looked at it and said "Mom, I want the orange kind that Brendan has at his house." Why can't kids appreciate good quality?! We've discovered that frozen peas/veggies are the best with mac, the peas cool the mac and the mac warms the peas wonderfully! I'm not sure how safe it is (food handling wise)...but no one's ever gotten sick here. :) I think peas and mac go great together.
BTW you have a short message on my blog...on the Finishing up the day post...very short. See ya! Amy
P.S. I want your house. It's gorgeous!
Mindi, mac and cheese and peas are such a good combination. Owen and James definitely agree. I've found, however, that the peas don't make for the best diaper changes. . . second only to corn. (I also love that Asher is eating it in the entry way)
Thanks for always sharing such cute pictures of your cutie! Miss you!
Kris
