Here is a picture of his cake. He loves his stuffed monkey and takes it with him everywhere. When I go to get him out of his crib in the mornings or after his nap, he scrambles to grab his monkey as soon as I walk in the room so he doesn't get left behind.
in these next few pictures we were basically trying to hold him back from grabbing the monkey.
when we put the cake in front of him, he wasn't so sure about things. i think he was a little worried about eating his monkey's little friend...
but he got over it.

Well, I must say, I appreciate your hard work and effort after star decorating just the bodice of Belle's dress, SO time consuming! You guys did an awesome job, these naughty little ones better appreciate our hard work!
Happy Birthday Asher!!! He is getting so big I can not believe it. What a nice boy
Cute. you guys are so crafty with your cake making. I think Am is getting store bought for a few years until I know she will appreciate my effort.
How in the world did you make that cake. I am very impressed! It is or was way cute.
lucky for me it turns out my husband is pretty handy with an icing bag. (see the pic of addi's first birthday cake on my post from 9/22)
Okay, I am amazed at that cake, and if it's true that your husband decorated it, I don't have to hate you. I must admit when I saw the picture with his getting ready to eat the monkey, I thought, "No, all that work and he's going to destroy it!" Then I saw that it was mini-monkey. Whew! What a smart idea! Love, Amy
yeah, the real monkey cake was like twice the size of asher and took us 4 1/2 hours to make... i wasn't about to let him tear into it before we got to eat some too!
